How much does an inspection trip cost?
An inspection trip costs in the region of £350.00 - £500.00 depending on your hotel of choice and time of year. If you purchase a property the full sum of the inspection trip will be deducted from the purchase price of your property. Back to Top

How long does an inspection trip last for?
3 days and 2 nights. Back to Top

Do we have to pay you a 'finders' fee?
No, we are paid by each of the developers that we represent which allows us to offer a wider choice of property and also saves you money. Back to Top

How much is the reservation fee?
£2,000 per property. Back to Top

How much is the deposit for the first stage payment?
It differs from each developer but generally between 10-20%, however some offer easier payment plans than others. Back to Top

How would I transfer all of my belongings?
We have our Preferred Partners that we choose to work with and one of them is Dolphin Movers who are specialists in shipping people's belonging to all parts of the world. Back to Top

Can you offer advice on where to buy and investment opportunities?
Yes, we have over 14 years of property experience and can guide you through the choices that are available to you. Back to Top

Can I apply for permanent residency once I have purchased a property?
Yes, firstly a temporary visitors permit is issued by completing a form and including 4 passport sized photographs. Full permanent residency is granted after 5 years. Back to Top

Is the cost of living a lot cheaper in Turkey & North Cyprus?
Yes, grocery shopping and utility bills and council taxes are all considerably cheaper. Back to Top

Can I open a bank account easily?
Yes, all you need is a passport. Back to Top

How long will it take from reservation until my property is ready to move into?
It can take anywhere between 6-18 months. You will be updated regularly and the developers encourage you to come out and check on the progress at the key build stages. Back to Top

What happens if I decide to change my mind once I have reserved?
You will receive a 50% refund, the rest of the reservation deposit is used to cover administration expenses. Back to Top

How much does a purchase permit cost?
Between £750.00 - £1,500.00 it will take about 7-8 months to process. Back to Top

When is the final payment for my property due?
On completion when the property is build complete, and when the purchaser permit has been issued, we would ask you to come out and check you are happy with everything. Once we have agreed that the property is complete you transfer the final sum (less reservation fee and other stage payments). Back to Top

What happens once completion has taken place?
Both yourself and the developer (vendor) will sign the title deeds, you will then pay 6% stamp duty on the full purchase price of your property. VAT is also payable at 5%. It will take approximately 2 weeks to have the title deeds in your name. In addition 1% of the purchase value of your property is payable on completion to the government as a local authority tax. Can I bring my pets into North Cyprus/Turkey?
All pets entering Northern Cyprus/Turkey have to be quarantined for a short period. Your local vet must chip your pet and help you complete the pet passport form. Back to Top

Why does Aklan and Palmer only concerntrate on new build properties?
Aklan and Palmer want to offer customers the chance to live in a fully bespoke property. An added benefit of buying a new build property is that buying property offplan is more cost effective and gives you a chance to spread your payments out over a longer period of time, therefore taking advantage of capital growth.
